She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, John.
Vera was born Jan. 5, 1949, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Oliver and Claudia Northrup. On June 26, 1971, she was united in marriage to John E. McDonald II. Vera was first and foremost a follower of the Lord. She was a devoted wife and mom, and dearly loved being a grandma. If you knew Vera, you had a piece of her heart and she will be greatly missed by all.
At this time, with sincere gratitude, we would like to thank the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy. We entered as a patient and left as family. God bless you all.
A memorial fund has been established in Vera's memory.
