Karren Heskett, 67, died Monday, Dec. 14, 2015, at Jones Regional Care Center following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17, at Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa, where friends may call after noon. The Rev. Marty Schuhmacher will officiate at the services.
Surviving are three daughters, Dawn (Jim) Ahrendsen, Anamosa, Michelle (Ken) Cannon, Gainsville, Ga., and Lauri Martin, Suwanee, Ga.; four grandchildren, Brittanie, Austen, Lourdes and London; two great-grandchildren, Gino and Ace; two brothers, Kenny (Pat) Heskett and Kelly (Glenice) Heskett; a half brother, Chuck Heskett; and half sister, Roseanne Hitchcock.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister, Kathy.
Karren Marie Heskett was born Dec. 26, 1947, at Anamosa, Iowa. She was the daughter of William and Vernita Sunday Heskett. Karren graduated from the Anamosa Community Schools in 1966. She continued her education at Young's Cosmetology College in Cedar Rapids. Karren worked with Kitty Dirks in her salon. She also was employed at Square D and Rockwell Collins.
She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and will be greatly missed.
