DELORES EVELYN (BLIN) NALLEY
Solon
Delores Evelyn (Blin) Nalley, 80, died Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2020, in her home. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 24, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Solon. Burial will be in Cedar Memorial Cemetery in Cedar Rapids. A visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 23, at the church. The family will provide an option to receive friends either inside the church for those who are comfortable or outside in front of the church. Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Solon are in charge of arrangements.
Delores was born Sept. 23, 1939, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Edward E. and Ethel M. (Notbohm) Blin. She was united in marriage to Patrick Nalley on Aug. 16, 1969, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion. Delores and Pat worked together owning and managing Solon Implement, Iowa Implement and All Seasons Equipment for many years. She enjoyed traveling, where she was proud to visit more than 16 countries. Delores was a member of Beta Sigma Phi, Marion Business Girls, Solon Red Hats, Bank Retiree Group, as well as the St. Mary Altar and Rosary Society.
Delores is survived by her husband; her daughters, Joanne (Joe) Nolte of Des Moines and Julie (Ron) Jewell of Norwalk; and her two grandsons, Edward Nolte and Austin Jewell.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorials may be directed to St. Mary Catholic Church.
The family would like to thank all of Delores' caregivers from Home Instead of Iowa City and Care Initiatives Hospice of Cedar Rapids who took such wonderful care of her.
