Rammelsberg, Hazel E. (Tessman)
Hazel E. (Tessman) Rammelsberg, 91, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Sept. 9, 2012, at St. Luke's Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 12, at 11 a.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. A private graveside service will be held at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include her four nephews, David and Janet Fattig of Walnut Creek, Calif., Larry Fattig of St. Louis, Mo., Doug and Sara Fattig of Spring Valley, Minn., and Dan Fattig of Minneapolis; and a niece, Lynn and Glenn Vosatka of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Gilbert Fattig and John Fattig.
Hazel was born April 20, 1921, in Wayland, the daughter of Jess and Eva (Farmer) Fattig. She graduated from Roosevelt High School. After high school she worked at The Gazette for 23 years. She married Clarence Tessman. He passed away in 1983. On May 15, 1993, she married Harold Rammelsberg. He preceded her in death in March 2012. Hazel attended First Baptist Church of The Brethren.
