Haesemeyer, Hazel
Hazel Haesemeyer, 92, of Cottage Grove, Minn., formerly of Stanwood, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away peacefully Thursday, Feb. 3, 2011, to join her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Funeral services: 1 p.m. Tuesday at St. John's United Church of Christ, Clarence, with the Rev. David Mears officiating. Private burial: Stanwood Cemetery. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence.
She was mother to daughter, Carlotta (Harvest) Williams and son, Vance (Wendy); and grandmother to Julia and Elliot Haesemeyer. Also surviving are two sisters, Joan Mills and Leone Olson; many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Jean and Nancy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl; son, Brooks; son-in-law, Bill; parents and eight siblings.
Hazel was born Sept. 10, 1918.
Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
