Schulte, Hazel R.
Hazel R. Schulte, 87, died Tuesday, April 5, 2011, at her home. Mass of Christian Burial: 10 a.m. Saturday, April 9, at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Norway, with the Rev. Brian Dellaert officiating. Burial: St. Patrick's Cemetery, Fairfax. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the church parish center, with a Scripture service at 7 p.m.
Hazel was born Jan. 8, 1924, in Watkins, Iowa, to John C. and Anna (Frese) Becker. She married Clarence Schulte on Sept. 18, 1945.
Survivors include her children, Lyle Schulte, Dianne (James) Shinto, Betsy Schulte and Carrie Schulte; grandchildren, Jen Schulte and Crystal (Rob) Bruns; great- grandchildren Lyle Roper and Dally Ann Bruns; sisters, Ida Houser, Sister Mary Ann Becker and Sister Marlys Becker; and sisters-in-law, Bernice, Mary and Dorothy Becker.
Hazel was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence; son, Bruce; brothers, George, Louis and Wilbert Becker; and sister, Helen Oberreuter.
