And now it's a home game for the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders. Finally.
The Riders concluded their six-game road trip Saturday night with a 4-3 shootout win over the Muskegon Lumberjacks in Muskegon, Mich.
Goals from Ryan McGrath and Jayson Megna (in the final two minutes, with goalie Brady Hjelle off for an extra attacker) rallied Cedar Rapids from a 3-1 hole at the end of regulation. Justin Kovacs and Cason Hohmann had goals in the shootout as the Riders won, 2-1.
Nolan Zajac also scored in regulation for the RoughRiders (11-3, 22 points), who went 4-2 on the long trip. Cedar Rapids hosts Sioux City on Wednesday night, then has a home-and-home series Thursday and Friday nights with Waterloo.
