Drew DeRidder of C.R. RoughRiders earns USHL goalie of week honors

CEDAR RAPIDS — The United States Hockey League announced its players of the week Monday, with Drew DeRidder of the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders earning Goaltender of the Week honors.
DeRidder made 52 saves as the RoughRiders won a pair of games, over Madison and Dubuque. The 16-year-old Fenton, Mich., resident has won four of his past six starts.
The Michigan State commit has played in 25 games this season, more than any other first-year goalie in the league. He has a 3.32 goals against average and .891 save percentage.
Cedar Rapids hosts Des Moines on Wednesday night at 7:05.
