GREEN BAY, Wis. - Andrew Gaus had a go-ahead goal midway through the second period, and the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders beat the Green Bay Gamblers, 6-4, Friday night.
The teams play again Saturday night at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena.
Gaus scored just 15 seconds after Green Bay had tied the game. Tyler Gernhofer scored in the third period for the final margin.
Andrew Oglevie had a pair of goals for the RoughRiders (25-8-0, USHL high 50 standings points). Jiri Fronk and Cal Burke also scored.
Ben Blacker made 34 saves for the win in net.
