Former RoughRider Gilmour taken in NHL draft

Former Cedar Rapids RoughRiders defenseman John Gilmour was selected by the Calgary Flames Sunday night in the NHL Draft.
Gilmour was taken in the seventh round, 198th overall. Gilmour played the 2011-12 season with the Riders, recently completing his freshman season at Providence College, where he played all 38 games, registering four goals and nine assists.
For the Riders, he had 10 goals and 14 assists in 58 games.
