Krug, Betty Ann
Betty Ann Krug, 80, of 4773 Dewees Ct., Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, Aug. 6, 2009, in Mercy Medical Center following a long illness. Private services will take place. The Rev. Daniel Krueger of Zion Lutheran Church in Hiawatha will officiate. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Surviving to honor her memory are her husband of 62 years, George; two daughters, Pamm (Richard) Ruhberg of Cedar Rapids and Sheryl (Dennis) Dunston of Woodland, Calif.; two sons, George Krug Jr., her devoted and loving caregiver of Cedar Rapids, and Kevin (Barbara) Krug of Swisher; four grandchildren, Chad Ruhberg, Danielle (Kent) Perleberg, Sean Dunston and Jennifer (Tom) Markt; and her aunt, Pearl Lehr of Shellsburg.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother and his wife, Marvin and Lorraine Knipp; and a grandson, Trent Van Lengen.
Betty was born Dec. 9, 1928, in Keystone, Iowa to Louis and Lillian Thede Knipp. She married George A. Krug on June 1, 1947, in East Dubuque. She was a bookkeeper at Borden's Dairy and at Krug Carb.
Betty will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A memorial fund has been established in care of Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
