Willard J. "Sonny" Clary, 71, died Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at Jones Regional Medical Center in Anamosa. Service will be 11 a.m. Monday, March 10, at Goettsch Funeral Home in Anamosa. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Pastor Carla Burge will of-ficiate at the service. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Anamosa.

Surviving are his wife, Loretta; children, Angie (Andy) Peters of Anamosa, Lee (Marsha) O'Brien of Anamosa, Terry Clary of Oregon and Tammy Nunez of Las Vegas; brothers and sisters, Charlie Hibbets, Eddie Clary, Joyce Nyikes, Loretta Peterson, Glen Clary, Blanch Gates and Patty Hansen; grandchildren, Christina and Nick McGovern, Alicia, Koree and Denise O'Brien, Andrew Peters, Bobbie Jo, Tommy and Zachary Norton; 15 great-grandchild-ren; and special friend, Zephyr Borden.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Helen; and a great-grandson, Kasey O'Brien.
Willard J. Clary was born March 19, 1942, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Willard and Daisy Stickley Clary. On Sept. 8, 1978, Willard and Loretta Parker were united in marriage in Brandon, Iowa. Willard was self-employed most of his life, working with Scrap Metal. He enjoyed collecting model cars, going to the boat and spending time with his grandchildren.
He will be missed dearly by those closest to him.
