Puls, Esther Ann
Esther Ann Puls, 88, of 1200 Mulberry St., Tipton, died Sept. 23, 2009, at Mercy Iowa City after a short illness. Services: 10 a.m. Saturday at Fry Funeral Home in Tipton, where friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today. Burial: Tipton Masonic Cemetery. Pastor Donnita Moeller will officiate.
Survivors include a son, Kevin Jon (Donna) Puls of Iowa City; a daughter, Pamela Ann (Jim) Dodds of Tipton; grandchildren, Danielle Puls, Stephanie Fry, Chelsea Puls, Kelly Blegen, Jill Holstein and Christina Johnson; great-grandchildren, Wyatt Blegen, Paige Blegen, Avery Holstein, Zoe Holstein, Caylee Johnson, Celsey Johnson and Lexi Fry; and a sister, Janet Small of Davenport.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon; a son, Michael; and sisters, Elda Norton, Phyllis Ede and Joann Fisher.
Born Aug. 29, 1921, in Bennett, Iowa, the daughter of Alfred Christensen and Elsie Schneckloth, she married Vernon John Puls on Oct. 11, 1941, in Kahoka, Mo. Esther was a housewife.
