Jehle, Geogre 'Corky'
George “Corky” Jehle, 63, of Redlands, Calif., passed away suddenly on Jan. 25, 2010. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids in is handling arrangements.
George was born on Jan. 23, 1947 in Iowa City, the son of Esther and Robert Jehle, Sr. He graduated from City High School in 1967 and entered the Air Force making it his career. He served in Vietnam and later at Norton AFB, California under Military Airlift Command.
George is survived by two sons, Nicholas and Matthew, both of California; two brothers, Robert (Mary) of Cedar Rapids, and Donald of Iowa City; two nieces, a nephew, an aunt, Marguerite Teague, and sisters-in-law Karen Jehle and Joan Jehle.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Harold Jehle.
George was deeply loved and will remain forever in our hearts.
