Grant, Florence J.
Florence J. Grant, 87, of 5404 Pine Grove Dr. NE, died Saturday, March 10, 2012, at her home after a long illness. Per Florence's request there will be no service or visitation. Iowa Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include a daughter, Ruth Greig and her husband, Terry, of Cedar Rapids; two sons, Paul and his wife, Mary Ann, of Quinlan, Texas, and Bruce and his wife, Desiree, of Kankakee, Ill.; and one sister, Zillah Norton of Lees Summit, Mo. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Sarah Crippen of Cedar Rapids and Daniel Greig of Verona, Wis.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, Phillip.
Florence was born June 24, 1924, in Chicago, the daughter of Clarence and Zillah (Walters) Norton. She was a file clerk for the Illinois Central Railroad for many years.
Florence was a wonderful and caring mother and grandmother who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
