Vinton native contributes to Sadler success

Racing at Iowa Speedway is "home sweet home" for a team member of pole sitter Elliott Sadler.
Vinton native, Jon Leonard serves as an engineer on the longtime race car drivers OneMain Financial team. The 22-year-old graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is in his first year on Sadler's Richard Childress Racing team.
Sadler, who has two top-five finishes in as many appearances at Iowa Speedway, earned his second straight pole in a NASCAR Nationwide Series event. He will start up front for the Pioneer Hi-Bred 250 Sunday, beginning at 1 p.m.
