Cedar Rapids school district names internal auditor

Layce Fillner has been named Internal Auditor for the Cedar Rapids Community School District. In this capacity, she is responsible for assessing the District's liability regarding financial, operational, compliance, and technology risks to ensure that mitigating controls are in place and operating effectively. She will present regular updates on her work to the District's Audit Committee.
Fillner earned her undergraduate degree in accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Iowa. She brings previous audit experience from her tenure at CUNA Mutual where she served an internal audit manager and at Grant Thornton, LLP where she was a senior assurance associate. She most recently worked for AEGON Asset Management in cash analytics and financial reporting.
