Carol Kay (Kolsto) Williams, 73. longtime resident of Brooklyn, died Thursday, July 31, 2014, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
Celebration of Life services will be held next weekend at Holiday Lake in Brooklyn. Family and friends are encouraged to attend to share their "Carol stories" and remember a dear lady! Online condolences may be sent for her family through the Web at www.gayandciha.com.
Carol was born in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Wayne and Barbara Kolsto. For many years she so enjoyed her life on Holiday Lake in Brooklyn. Her family and friends will always remember that she was the life of the party, always living life to its fullest and making sure that she never met a stranger. She was a hardworking soul, providing for her family, but never complaining along the way. She loved her life as Mom, Grandma, daughter, sister and friend to many!
Carol's family includes her children, Rhoda Craig (Tony), Renae Polton (Darrell), Rick Houser (Brenda) and Rone Cahow; her mother, Barbara Kolsto; a brother, Larry Kolsto; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father; and her daughter, Robin Weiland.
