Kleitsch, Carol A.
Carol A. Kleitsch, 69, of 23704 25th Ave., Bernard, died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2011, at 5:15 a.m. at Shady Rest Care Center in Cascade. Friends and relatives of Carol may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Reiff Funeral Home in Cascade, where a wake service will be held at 4 p.m. Services for Carol A. Kleitsch will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Cascade, with the Rev. Marvin Bries officiating. Concelebrating will be the Rev. Douglas Loecke. Burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery in Cascade.
Carol was born July 29, 1941, in Dubuque County, Iowa, daughter of Elmer and Mary (Bries) Dunkel. She received her education in the Fillmore area schools and was a graduate of the former St. Mary's High School in Cascade. On June 17, 1961, she was united in marriage to Irvin Kleitsch at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fillmore. Carol was employed at the Bernard Telephone Co. for several years. She was a member of St. Matthias Parish in Cascade.
She is survived by her husband, Irvin Kleitsch of Bernard; four children, Deanne Mainey of Davenport, Jim (Shaun) Kleitsch of Oregon, Wis., Shari (Ken) Peiffer of Dubuque and Kevin (Nancy) Kleitsch of Manchester; 14 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a sister, Kaye Junion of Monticello; and a nephew and niece, Stephen (Cheryl) Junion and Staci (Rick) Fritz.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A Carol A. Kleitsch Memorial Fund has been established in lieu of flowers.
