CAROL ANN DVORAK
Washington
Carol Ann Dvorak, 62, of Washington, died suddenly, but peacefully, on Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics in Iowa City. Graveside service will be
11 a.m. Saturday, July 21, 2018, at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Carol was born May 29, 1956, the daughter of Arnie and Edith (Novotny) Dvorak in Cedar Rapids. She spent most of her life on the family farm in Springville and always called Springville her home. Carol enjoyed life on the farm, where there was always plenty of family time and celebrations. Carol was a sweet soul who loved to send cards to family and friends. She enjoyed drawing pictures for anyone that crossed her path, listening to country music and embroidering. Family and photos of family were very important to Carol. There was nothing like seeing Carol's big smile when you came to visit and brought her goodies, like a shake, or took her out to eat.
Survivors include her sister, Sharon Mertka of Mechanicsville; brother, John Dvorak of Dubuque; nieces and nephews, Mike Dvorak, Pam Cavey, Steve Mertka, Cindy Bailey, Jeff Mertka, Jackie McQuinn and Louise Shala; many great nieces and nephews; and special cousin, Virginia Bell.
She was greeted in heaven by her parents; two nieces, Julie and Diana Dvorak; nephew, Tom Rogers; brother-in-law, Louis Mertka; and sister-in-law, Pat Dvorak.
Memorials may be directed to the family in memory of Carol.
