CAROL SCHLUETER
Millville
Carol Martha Schlueter, 73, of Millville, died Friday, Oct. 7, 2016, surrounded by her family.
She was born Dec. 2, 1942, in Millville, the daughter of Edwin and Eleanor (Brockman) Frommelt. Carol attended Seeman County School, Guttenberg Elementary School and later St. Mary's High School, where she graduated with the class of 1960. On April 27, 1963, Carol was united in marriage with Albert Schlueter at St. Mary's Church in Guttenberg, and the two were later blessed with seven children. Making a home for her family was a full-time job in itself, but Carol also managed to work as a caregiver for the Guttenberg Care Center, Home Health Care and Tower Living Center.
Carol was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She sang in the church choir and was a member of St. Anne's Society. Carol enjoyed crocheting, watching her children and grandchildren at various athletic events, and was a very compassionate caregiver to others.
Carol will be forever loved and cherished by her husband of 53 years, Albert; children, Mark (Chris) Schlueter, Phil (Lisa) Schlueter, Dave (Karen) Schlueter, Paul (Libby) Schlueter, Lynn Schlueter, Chris Schlueter and Ann (Aaron) Moore; grandchildren, Kayla, Devin, Alex, Megan, Mariah, Zach, Sophia, Jenna, Nathan, Josie, Eva, Elana and Jake; two brothers, Clark and Terry Frommelt; and many other relatives and friends.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; son, Glenn, in infancy; and grandson, Eric Schlueter.
Arrangements are being handled by Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, 207 S. First St., Guttenberg, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 9, and one hour before services at the church. Funeral services will be at St. Mary's Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 10. The Rev. Marvin Bries will officiate. Interment will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Guttenberg.
