CAROL WEBBER
Marion
Carol Irene Webber, 71, of Marion, passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, Nov. 9, 2014. The family will greet friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion, where a memorial service will take place at 11 a.m.
Carol was born Dec. 15, 1942, in New Hampton, Iowa, the daughter of Ralph and Marie Hansel. She attended Elkader High School and Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids. Carol married Lowell Webber on Nov. 17, 1962, in Volga, Iowa. Most recently, she worked with Cedar Rapids Janitorial. Carol loved camping, fishing and spending time on her deck around the pool. The holidays were an especially precious time of year, because all of her children and grandchildren would stop by. Carol absolutely adored her pets and any strays that might be passing by.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 52 years, Lowell; her six children, Daniel (Lanesa) Webber of Marshalltown, David (Maureen) Webber of Chesapeake, Va., Donald Webber of Marshalltown, Tina (Tom) Wendt of Incline Village, Nev., Dennis Webber of Marion and Daryl Webber of Marion; brothers, Andre Hotchkiss, Frank Hotchkiss and Rick (Pat) Hotchkiss; and sisters, Rosalie (Bob) Glaser, Bonnie (Herb) Howland, Marlys Hotchkiss and Beverly Hotchkiss.
Also surviving are many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorials may be directed to the family in Carol's memory.
