Iowa-OSU women's games on TV nationwide

Both Iowa-Ohio State women's basketball games will televised to a national audience this winter.

The game in Iowa City on Jan. 8 will be on CBS; the game in Columbus on Jan. 24 will be on ESPN2.

Iowa's schedule was officially released Friday. Eight of Iowa's opponents were in the NCAA Tournament last season.

The Hawkeyes (20-14 overall, 10-8 Big Ten in 2009-10) will play a 16-game Big Ten schedule. They'll face Illinois, Indiana, Michigan State, Minnesota, Ohio State and Penn State twice, Michigan and Wisconsin at home only, Northwestern and Purdue away only.

As for the in-state rivals, Iowa hosts Iowa State (Dec. 9) and UNI (Dec. 22), and travels to Drake (Dec. 20).

The season begins with an exhibition Nov. 8 against Concordia (Minn.); the first game that counts is Nov. 12, against Southern University in the first round of the Islander Tipoff Tournament at Corpus Christi, Texas.
