Nationwide Dash 4 Cash

NEWTON - This weekend's NASCAR Nationwide Series race is the third of four races in the "Dash 4 Cash" series. The "Dash 4 Cash" bonus is an incentive program by Nationwide Insurance, presenting $25,000 to the winners of four selected races, as long as they are a full-time, part-time, limited-schedule or full-time double-duty driver.
The U.S. Cellular 250 is one of those races, but the winner is in line for $50,000 since $25,000 was rolled over from the previous "Dash 4 Cash" race, which was June 12 event at Kentucky Speedway. Joey Logano, who won that event, did not qualify to win the award.
“It's going to make it a lot more ex citing of a race that doesn't need any more excitement,” driver Michael Annett said. “It's going to make it that much better.”
The incentive has been well received by the drivers, giving them a chance to pocket some extra money on top of claiming a victory. Last year, Brad Keselowski won the race at Iowa Speedway and nabbed a $75,000 bonus.
“The dash for cash program is one of those things we all enjoy,” driver Justin Allgaier said. “We're out there to have a good time. We're out there to win races and whenever you can add a little extra incentive it really helps. I think it adds something for the fans too. The fans want to see what's going to happen to the extra money and whose going to end up winning the races.”
If the Iowa Speedway event isn't won by an eligible driver then the purse rolls over to the No. 6 race at Texas Motor Speedway and would be worth $75,000.
