COVID-19 relief bill will help many Americans

Republican lawmakers in Washington, D.C. are not representing their constituents back home. The COVID-19 economic aid package is praised by 70 percent of the American public, but not a single Republican legislator voted for it. The Republican lawmakers' playbook continues to dwell on the cost of the bill. They would have us believe that the cost outweighs the benefits. The truth is that this bill has a direct effect on the majority of Americans. There is money for public schools, child care, child tax credits, food for hungry children, rental assistance, restaurants and other small businesses, COVID relief, and direct payments to working people.
The COVID-19 economic aid package was designed to help people and that is what it will do. It is extremely popular and is the right thing to do. Thank you, President Biden and Democrat legislators!
