Prep Football: Class 4A, District 7 predictions

Aug. 19, 2016 1:30 pm
An unfortunate byproduct of the new playoff system is that some quality teams will be left home after Week 9, and thus is the race in this district, which houses three very good squads.
Bettendorf is a perennial power that reached the semifinals last season, and Iowa City High returned to prosperity last fall.
Beware of Muscatine, which has skill players galore, led by quarterback Luke Wichers.
Bettendorf returns its top two tacklers (Keegan Glaus and Jacob Durkin) from a team that allowed 14.8 points per game last season.
City High rose from 2-7 to 8-4 and the 4A quarterfinals, and looks to continue the ascent behind RB Bryce Frantz (763 yards).
