New splash pad opens at Twin Pines Park on Saturday

The Cedar Rapids Parks and Recreation Department will open a new splash pad at Twin Pines Park, 3500 42nd Street NE, on Saturday, July 2. The Twin Pines Park splash pad is the largest splash pad in Cedar Rapids. Splash pad spray features are activated when a hand is run across the sensor on the fire hydrant. The water is turned on at 10:00 AM each day and turned off at 8:00 PM.
Other splash pads are located at Cedar Valley Park, Cleveland Park, Daniels Park, Hayes Park, Hidder Park, Jacolyn Park, Noelridge Park (near Harding School on Golf Street), Redmond Park and Time Check Park. For more information, contact Park Operations at (319) 286-5760.
