Four UI faculty members win top teaching awards

Four University of Iowa faculty members have received the 2011 President and Provost Award for Teaching Excellence, a University of Iowa press release said.
The recipients are Anatomy Professor Paul Heidger, Lecturer in Russian Irina Kostina, Communication Studies Professor John Durham Peters and Law Professor Todd Pettys.
Awarded to selected faculty by the University of Iowa Council on Teaching, the President and Provost Award for Teaching Excellence was created in 2004 as was to recognize faculty members who have demonstrated teaching excellence.
