Coralville Michaels store possibly targeted by credit card fraud
The debit card pad at the Coralville Michaels store was tempered with, according to a release from SPM Communication on behalf of the company.
After a recent incident, the company screened pads in all 964 of their U.S. stores. 90 pads, including one at the Coralville location, returned possible evidence of fraud.
Friday, Coralville police said they have received no reports of credit card fraud related to the Michaels store in Coralville. The Iowa Attorney Generals Office also said there have been no related complaints statewide.
The company is in the process of replacing all debit and credit card pads in all their stores as a precaution.
