Virtual eco-family conference connects families

AMES, Iowa – Iowa families throughout the state will be getting together - virtually - once a month from January through June for an Eco Family Conference from Iowa State University Extension and Outreach. It's an opportunity for families to improve the environment, reduce their carbon footprint and create community close to home.

The ISUEcofamily blog addresses sustainable lifestyle choices around energy use, food, health, connecting to nature, water quality and conservation, consumerism and waste prevention.
Early childhood educators, teachers, naturalists and city employees attend Nature Explore training workshops to learn how to use and design outdoor classrooms to reconnect children to the natural world.
