With an election just around the corner in Marion, it's important to know what ward you belong to so you can vote for your city council representative. That information can be found at: linncounty.org Elections are being held this year for Wards 1 and 3, one city council member at-large and the mayor.
I feel it is important to understand what kind of a gentleman we already have in Will Brandt, who held the Ward 3 council seat for the past four years. Brandt is a devoted father of three children who are attending or attended the Marion Independent School District and he loves Marion.
During his time in office, Will has created opportunities that engage not only his ward, but the community as a whole. Whether it's about city management or the overall economic health of the businesses in the community, Brandt addresses what is happening in Marion with a positive and balanced approach. He takes all perspectives into account when he brings his voice to the table.
To continue this forward thinking direction for Marion - Ward 3, I hope you educate yourselves and consider a vote for Will Brandt for City Council for the next four years. As a business owner in Uptown Marion, I feel Will has done a fabulous job representing our city and has 'earned” my respect.
