Public art installation begins at Community Services Building

Installation of Linn County's much-anticipated public art began September 6 in the new Community Services Building of Linn County, 1240 26th Ave. Ct. SW in Cedar Rapids.
This building is Linn County's first new construction project to open following the 2008 flood. The building opened to the public last month. “We have been looking forward to this for months,” said Lu Barron, Linn County Supervisor and member of the Linn County Public Art Commission that selected the artists. “The art will be a prominent feature of the building and something that Linn County residents can be proud of.”
