Music, food and fun at Appetite for Marion event

The 2nd Annual Appetite for Marion is this Saturday, October 6, 2012 from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. in Uptown Marion's City Square Park. This event will feature live music by The Janey's Band (blues), food offerings by Marion restaurants and caterers and a beverage tent with beer and wine. There is no admission fee for Appetite for Marion, but it is a 21 and over event and no outside food or beverages will be allowed to be carried into the Park. A photo ID is required at the event entrance.

Best Western PLUS Longbranch, The Wright Touch LLC, Marion Hy-Vee and Take the Cake Cupcakes will be vending at the event offering a wide variety of appetizer size menu items ranging from smoked wings to gourmet cupcakes. Appetite for Marion is presented by Marion Chamber Platinum Community Partners – Farmers State Bank, Fosters Heating and Air Conditioning, Philip's Diamond Shop and Design Center and St. Luke's Hospital along with media partner Cumulus Media (104-5 KDAT, 98.1 KHAK, 94.1 KRNA and i107.1) and is a program of the Marion Chamber of Commerce.

A 5K Run/Walk will also be a part of the festivities on October 6. Spanda Inc. is presenting Band on the Run 5K Run/Walk which will feature a fun route starting and ending in Uptown Marion.
