Moody’s Assigns Aaa Rating to Linn County Bonds

Linn County is pleased to announce Moody's Investors Service has assigned a Aaa rating – the highest rating possible – to Linn County's $7.65 million General Obligation Joint Communications Systems Bonds, Series 2011A.
These bonds are for Linn County's portion of an $18.4 million countywide joint communications system that will provide seamless interoperability between all public safety agencies in Linn County – law enforcement, fire and EMS. The upgrade is driven by a federal government mandate that public safety radio systems must reduce the amount of bandwidth they use by January 1, 2013.
