Summer Jazz Camp

The seventh annual Summer Jazz Band Camp at Prairie Point Middle School was started as a result of area high school band directors seeing a wide range of ability levels among incoming freshmen. The camp is geared toward improving the skills of students entering grades 6-9. There are 55 campers in this year's camp. The largest number in the seven-year history. The camp culminates in a free concert by the two big bands and six jazz combos Friday at the Prairie High School concert hall.
