Police uncover North Liberty meth lab

Police uncovered an active meth lab in North Liberty Saturday night.
According to the City of North Liberty, officers with the North Liberty Police Department and Johnson County Drug Task Force served a narcotics search warrant at 95 Golfview Court. During a search of the property, police discovered meth, meth precursors, lab equipment, paraphernalia and other evidence.
Criminal charges are pending as officials process the evidence, said North Liberty Police Chief Diane Venenga.
The Iowa State Patrol Tactical Team, Iowa State Patrol, Johnson County Attorney's Office, North Liberty Fire Department and Johnson County Ambulance Service assisted Saturday night.
