Does Iowa need a new state bird?

Todd Dorman's article in the Sunday edition ('Welcome to Iowa. With some exceptions”) had some very interesting ideas for the state's new slogan for its welcoming signs. I think we should go one step further and change our state bird to more accurately reflect the current decision making occurring under the Golden Dome of Wisdom. It seems that the dodo bird would be quite representative on several different levels.
