University of Iowa President Sally Mason won't talk about Big Ten expansion

University of Iowa President Sally Mason declined to comment today about the potential for Big Ten expansion.
"I am told that all requests for information regarding the potential expansion of the Big Ten Conference should be directed to Jim Delany, Commissioner of the Big Ten Conference," Iowa spokesman Tom Moore wrote in an e-mail.
A reporter earlier had sent an e-mail requesting comment from Mason and her stance on the issue.
A statement regarding the Big Ten and its possible expansion is expected around 3 p.m. today.
