Give the new president a shot at solving issues

Those who are chanting 'Not my president” could try taking a moment to reevaluate. Elections always intend to declare a winner- this is not new. There will always be those who do not like an outcome- for multiple reasons.
But disliking an outcome does not give anyone a license to incite violence or insult, or not to follow laws, especially when they relate to health and safety. A clear majority of people wanted a change in administration as they had spent four years being unhappy with many factors, including the huge rise in COVID infections and deaths. Our country has many problems, but none can be addressed properly until infection rates are brought under control.
It is surely reasonable to allow a new administration a turn to try to solve these issues, yet we all have a part to play, including wearing a mask in public. It is childish to refuse to do this- it is such a small requirement. How is that our state government cannot require masks for those working in the Legislature, supposedly discussing public needs. The Federal government has called for masks for 100 days in Federal offices - should the state be resisting such a simple action?
