I recently read an article in The Gazette concerning Iowa changing its state motto on road signs entering Iowa. The article included input from state Republicans and Democrats suggesting a change is needed. The state of Iowa has been making national news with some of legislators' recent proposals. The proposals include bills which limit a woman's choice on health matters of her own body, limit access to voting, make life more difficult for LGBTQ community and take money from public schools to fund private school vouchers. Perhaps an appropriate sign for people to see entering the state on its highways would reflect its current political atmosphere. 'Iowa - Moving Back In Time.”
