The Cedar Rapids Parks & Recreation Department this winter is offering kayakers a chance to practice their skills in the controlled environment of Bender Pool, 940 14th Ave. SE. The next session is from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Sunday. The sessions are not lessons, but experienced paddlers will be available to help. The fee is $10 per person per visit. No advance registration is required.
