CEDAR RAPIDS - After about a week hiatus caused by the flooding on the Cedar River, CSPS was gearing up to once again host a live performance.
Mel Andringa, co-director with CSPS, said work is underway at the historic hall, 410 Third Ave. SE., to prepare for Sunday's 7 p.m. show - Italy's Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino.
Adringa said the building and the nearby fire house had about a feet of water in the basement, and much of the items in the hall's fnirst floor and basement were relocated to the second floor, which includes the auditorium.
Andringa said volunteers will be sought Saturday to help prepare the space for the show.
'We're seeking volunteers” to move furniture and other items, Andringa said. 'We'll probably need help on Sunday, too.”
