Cedar Rapids city officials are holding a news conference to discuss plans for dealing with projected high river levels.
KCRG will be providing a stream of the news conference.
The Cedar River is forecast to crest Monday night or Tuesday morning at more than 25 feet. That would be the second highest level at which the river has crested in history, according to the Iowa Flood Information System.
The highest level was 31.12 feet on June 13, 2008.
As of now, the second highest crest on record is 20 feet, which has happened on two occasions — first on June 1, 1851, and again on March 18, 1929.
