Twisters’ Steffensmeier captures Level 10 titles

GRAYSLAKE, Ill. — Allyson Steffensmeier of Twisters Gymnastics, competing in her first Level 10 meet, won the all around title recently at the Leenda's Island Adventure tournament.
Steffensmeier is the first Level 10 competitor, the highest level, from Twisters.
She also won the beam, placed second on the bars and third in the vault.
Twisters' Samantha Triplet won the Level 8 floor exercise and Alexis Sands the Level 9 vault.
Other Twisters placewinners were Elise Smith, second in the Level 8 all around; Emily Crumbo, second in Level 8 floor exercise; and Lauren Easton, third in the Level 8 all around.
GAMMON, NGUYEN LEAD KIDS FIRST
WEST DES MOINES — Hailey Gammon and Vanessa Nguyen of Kids First Gymnastics both won four titles at the Chow's Winter Classic.
Both in Xcel Bronze, Gammon won the bars, beam, floor exercise and all round while Nguyen captured the vault, beam, floor and all around. Mikayla Page won three events (beam, floor, all around) in Bronze and Katherine Denner (floor, all around) two.
Other Kids First winners in Bronxe were Ella Rieck (beam) and Ava McMenomy (bars). Kyle Shipp, Savannah Chase and Brianna Bell were placewinners as Kids First captured the team title.
Kids first won the Bronze team title.
Ashlyn Winders won the vault and beam in Level 3. Other Kids First winners were Ella Harmening (bars), Emma Schultz (vault), Molly McMurrin (floor) and Ly Bui (bars) in Level 4, and Jessa Day (bars) in Level 6.
Placewinners were Jane Petersen in Level 3, Amelia Basler in Level 4, and Ava Koch and Zoey DeCapria in Level 5.
At the SCAMPS Hang 10,0 Invitational in Kenosha, Wis., Jaslyn Stephen won tumbling and trampoline titles. Other winners were Morgan Pence (tumbling), Reegan Lueken (trampoline). Rylee Lueken and Ciara White were placewinners.
SOMERSAULTS WINS XCEL SILVER TITLE
KENOSHA, Wis. — Isabelle Howsare of Somersaults Gymnastics Center won the balance beam and all around titles at the SCAMPS Hang 10,0 Invitational last weekend in Xcel Silver.
Other Somersaults winners in Silver were Ava Blue (balance beam), Sophia Bunch (all around), Natalie Osterberg (floor exercise), Isabel Hawker (vault) and Hannah Brandt (balance beam).
Somersaults won the Silver team title.
Other placewinners were Lindsey Weig and Ashley Lappin in Level 4; Laura Swart and Ellie Jones in Level 5; Ava Christensen, Bailey Hakert, Paisley Joens, Faye Wade, Annie Haars, Faith Ehle, Kianna Davis and Kate Rogers in Xcel Silver; and Bailey Davis, Megan Schulte and Brianna Yanga in Xcel Gold.
CRAG'S FRUEHLING WINS 5 EVENTS
WEST DES MOINES — Lauren Fruehling of Cedar Rapids Association of Gymnastics won five events last weekend at Chow's Winter Classic. capturing the vault, bars, beam, floor exercise and all around in Level 8.
Hailey Hakes took home four golds in Level 6, winning the bars, beam, floor and all around, and Jenna Danninger won the bars, floor and all around in Level 9. Lauren Miller was a triple winner in the Xcel Silver division, winning the beam, floor and all round, and Macie Forck won two Xcel Gold titles (bars, beam).
Other CRAG winners were Alyssa McAleer (beam) and Sidney Davidson (beam) in Level 6, Riley Smith (vault) in Level 7, Kareena McSweeney (floor) in Level 9, Lindsay Ginger (beam) and Ashley Dunham (beam) in Xcel Silver, and Hannah Behrends (beam), Alivia Foster (beam), Brooke Glasbrenner (all around), Kori Lyle (beam) and Emersyn Secora (beam) in Xcel Gold.
CRAG placewinners were Nicole Clark, Natalie Freeman, Ava Andrews and Emma Kelsey in Level 6, Megan Norris in Level 7, Isabelle Osterhaus, Chloe Pate, Mya Gilchrist and Olivia Lukan in Silver, Jordyn Erickson in Gold and Faith Pladsen in Platinum.
