FRAZIER TO TRAINING CENTER
CEDAR RAPIDS - Former Iowa City High swimmer Forrest Frazier was one of 48 boys from across the country picked to participate in USA Swimming's National Select Camp later this month at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo.
'We're thrilled for Forrest to take part of such an amazing experience,” said Megan Oesting, head coach and owner of Eastern Iowa Swim Federation, Frazier's club. 'He has put in a lot of deliberate effort to build the endurance needed to succeed this past summer and that hard work really paid off. Forrest is now in an exciting group of rising stars and I'm so proud of the drive and determination he harnessed to get there. This will be his first invitation to the Olympic Training Center, he's going to have a blast.”
During the three-day camp, Frazier will experience the day-to-day routine of a U.S. National Team athlete and use the state-of-the-art training facilities.
