AMES - The Iowa State football coaching staff will be experiencing a bit of a shakeup this summer.
Director of scouting John Kuceyeski will be leaving the staff to be the running backs coach at Cornell University, Iowa State confirmed Friday. Kuceyeski came to Ames with coach Matt Campbell from Toledo last December.
While on staff under Campbell for the last three seasons, Kuceyeski served as director of football operations for two years and director of high school relations for a year.
Kuceyeski served seven months at Iowa State as the off-the-field recruiting coordinator, but will get a chance to coach a position room at Cornell as well as be on the road recruiting.
He was a student assistant at Penn State from 2006-09, a graduate assistant at Northwestern from 2010-12 and recruiting coordinator at Western Michigan in 2013.
