Iowa State to host NCAA regional in 2014

AMES (AP) - Iowa State is one of four sites picked to host an NCAA tournament regional for volleyball in 2014.

The NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball committee says Iowa State, Louisville, Minnesota and Washington will serve as regional sites.

Iowa State hosted first and second-round matchups in 2009 and ranked fourth out of 16 sites in attendance.

Iowa State head coach Christy Johnson-Lynch says the tremendous support the program has received in recent years helped the school land the regional.
