Nationwide Series coming to Iowa Speedway

The NASCAR Nationwide Series will make a stop at Newton's Iowa Speedway next weekend. Some of the top race car drivers will compete in the NASCAR Nationwide Series U.S. Cellular 250 on Saturday, July 31 at 6:30 p.m.

The pace car for the race will be displayed in northeast Cedar Rapids this Friday at U.S. Cellular on Collins Rd. Fans will have the opportunity to take photos and register for a chance to win tickets to the event from 3:30-6:30 p.m. 

The weekend will also include a United Speed Alliance Racing Pro Cup Series event with qualifying Friday, July 30 at 3:15 p.m. The race will be held later that night at 8.

THE USAR event will be followed by one of two concerts set for the weekend. Eastin Corbin will perform after Friday night's events and Josh Thompson will be perform after the completion of Saturday's Nationwide Series race.
