Iowa state track and field 2019: Tentative list of qualifiers
The Iowa High School Athletic Association and Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union released tentative lists of qualifiers for next week's state track and field meet Saturday.
Events begin Thursday and run through Saturday at Drake Stadium in Des Moines.
State-qualifying meets were held around the state Friday. The top two finishers in each event are automatic state qualifiers in 4A, 3A and 2A. Event champions automatically advance in 1A. The rest of the field is determined by at-large time/distance, with 24 qualifiers total in each event, in each class.
