Big haul for Tri-Rivers Conference

DES MOINES -- The Tri-Rivers Conference had plenty of hardware to tote back home from the Iowa High School Athletic Association at Wells Fargo Arena.
Fifteen TRC wrestlers earned medals, including 14 in the Class 1A tournament, this week. Alburnett, Maquoketa Valley and North Linn all had four medalists.
The Pirates were in place to earn their third straight team finish. Freshman Hunter Washburn (106) reached the finals, and Tyler Shulista reached his third finals match, needing a win at 126 for his third state title. Dylan Windfield (160) placed fifth at 160 and Grant Henderson (145) was sixth for Alburnett.
